I've stopped trying to memorize the different teaching models. Now I use an approach from Dr. Holly Porter:
- Focus on either a Ss or part of a lesson
- Team in small-group or whole-class

One way to ensuring equity is to make space for Ss' languages at school.

It won't prevent them from learning English. It actually facilitates engagement.

The MAIN thing I do when co-designing assessments is look for opportunities to put in prompts and guiding questions.

We just created this assessment w/ colleagues to scaffold an assessment.

"Participation, not perfection" is my mantra to remind myself that language acquisition is not JUST about grammar.

It's about learning to USE a language, not learning the rules of a language.
