@CanadianCycling I can distinctly recall the moment I heard LeMond won that Tour - it seemed hopeless to make up so much time in a short TT. I was waiting for the race (tape-delayed) to start on ABC and the radio news was playing in my house ... "and Greg LeMond won the Tour de France today"😲
The last 4K of yesterday's U23 World's Mixed XC relay - C'est Incroyable!!! Amazing organization and racing here in Whistler and capped it all off with this:

@geoffkirbyson For sure - 80's/90's Jets fans should buy up every last copy of Broken Ribs & Popcorn - perfectly captures those years! #WinnipegJets
@geoffkirbyson One good thing about COVID - no errant Jets "fan" throwing popcorn (or a large bag of peanuts) on the ice during one of their comebacks this week. Likely the main difference between 1990 and this year. 😀 #brokenribsandpopcorn#WinnipegJets
Best moment of last night's celebration - got 7 or 8 cars in a synchronized honking of "Go Jets Go" for several minutes as we were stopped in traffic by the MTS Centre.

@IceSinghHNIC Hey - as you were leaving the game last night, I was the guy who yelled out of his vehicle "Great call on the game!" Glad I got to tell you "in person"!
@geoffkirbyson Can't quite remember the actual jokes, but it involved a Letterman-style top ten list. I do recall you liked it.
By the way, if @TSN_Sports or @NHLJets ever do some "30 for 30" documentaries, they need to do the "popcorn" incident, with re-enactment of exactly what happened!!
@geoffkirbyson Just read your fantastic Broken Ribs & Popcorn about the Jets.
I actually sat directly behind the culprit in the infamous "Popcorn" incident that may have cost them a Stanley Cup.
Here are some details:
First, it was not actually a box of popcorn ...
@geoffkirbyson Shenkarow made this famous by calling it popcorn - so I think that is the right name for it. It happened so quick, I may be one of only two people that knows it was peanuts.
It's funny, I shared this story with the makers of Death by Popcorn on the first night they showed it.
I am sure he did not intentionally do it to hurt the Jets, but neither did Steve Bartman intend to hurt the Cubs.
I think this still should be called the 'popcorn incident', but I wanted to share some details that should enter the storied history of the great Winnipeg Jets!
Here is a description of the culprit: about mid-30's, dark mullet-like curly hair, smoker complexion.
I may be able to point him out in a police line-up. Although there are a lot of Jets fans from the early 90's that looked like that :)
