Last year this week, while reporting in the West Bank, I was blindfolded, shackled, and handcuffed by the IDF. I was taken in a military Humvee to Israel’s notorious Moscobiyeh prison, where I was held in solitary confinement and interrogated as an “enemy of the state,” accused of “aiding the enemy during wartime,” a charge that carries a minimum life sentence or maximum death penalty.
