I just read this in my devotional, and it has me like 🤯
“God’s love in our hearts is like a bag of tea steeping in hot water. The longer it sits, the more the cup of water becomes like the tea.”
Spotted on an Adelaide Facebook group - hey @Koorong - do you actually stock an entirely different religious book in your stores? Either you all are seriously messed up in decisions, or there are people / staff sent in to plant books like this in your shops. Please check on this!
Every person who is even remotely amused at how Erica Kirk is navigating the trial for her husband’s alleged murder, I cannot imagine what you’re gonna reap in eternity, unless you repent.
If you’ve made it this far in this thread, and if you’re in a place of financial need, let me know and I’ll be praying for you too, that God would come through for you in a divine and wonderful way, that you may testify that He made a way for you when there was no way 🙌🏽🙏🏽
A few weeks ago, I sent an email to my previous church’s Giving team, asking if any of my past contributions to the church’s fund (which probably is close to 20000$) could be used as credit towards them giving me a financial support or a loan in my time of dire financial need.
P.S.: the person who reached was so kind, and I believe they were genuinely compassionate. And I’m grateful to them for the courtesy. Of course, courtesy doesn’t pay your rent.
Good thing is God is still my source, even when all else fails.
I’ve just realized that sending the email and getting no financial help really just ensured I wouldn’t personally choose to return, unless the Lord. Also strikes me it’s likely God’s kindness keeping me away from being anywhere He had lifted the grace off of, for me.
To be real, I haven’t gone to the church in a year because even after 7 years I had no solid church community & lost my sense of belonging.
But, I know if they had supported me, would have been a “my church has got me!” scenario and I would have gone back out of that gratitude.,
I didn’t get any response by email, but I got a call from someone I knew from church call me and express compassion and prayers, who also told church doesn’t support financially, apparently they simply inform people of organisations that may help.
Me realizing even more how even Bollywood songs are just vessels to desensitise people to the demonic realm, because most people naively play songs without knowing what they’re actually listening to 😳 (actual song lyrics here)
One of my favorite things I've read recently is about a woman who said whenever a negative thought about herself popped up, she would shout "GUARDS!" and imagine knights entering and carrying the thought away.
P.S.: the pictures I took of it had this halo effect (that none of my photos before and after had, so it wasn’t my phone’ camera), which has me think there were angels around / that the envelope was fully prayed over!
Whoever it was that left this at the fountain at a mall, thank you! Left it there & it was a beautiful encouraging reminder & I hope everyone who came across it was as blessed by it as I was.
As someone who migrated to Australia, I respect this sentiment.
At the end of the day, I didn’t move only to replicate the culture of the land (that I chose to move out of) here.
I’d rather here live by the culture of this land, & visit my native land to celebrate that culture.
Australia has a unique culture that resulted in the establishment of a prosperous, free society that is one of the most desirable places to live in the western world.
I won’t describe what that culture is.
If you’re a patriotic Australian, you already know.
If you’re a person that denies our unique culture, nothing I say will change your mind.
Western cultures like ours have been responsible for elevating the standard of living for billions of people around the world.
We must protect Australia from the false ideology of “multiculturalism”. Multiple cultures that are incompatible and living in close proximity to each other results in tribalism, conflict and the erosion of the host nations identity.
This is why there are different countries in the first place. People with the same culture came together and created them.
It follows that if a single country tries to host multiple cultures it will eventually fracture from within and lose its cohesion.
Australia is for Australians.
If you disagree, you’re free to leave.
