Every morning I thank God for waking up in the United States of America.

It still feels like a dream.

Yesterday we marked two months here.

What our family has built in 60 days in this country would never have been possible for a white person starting over in South Africa.

We have been blessed beyond belief. We already have so many friends.

To every American following me:

You have a great life and a safe life compared to most people on this earth.

That life exists because of the brave men and women who fight for it every single day.

I hope I do my part and make them and you proud.

Thank you again for saving so many families who were facing persecution and murder in that horrible, racist country we left behind.
