If you are going to enter into the suffering of those who have been traumatized, you have to learn how to sit with and listen to fear, anger and great grief with compassion and understanding. You will also have to learn how to do it for far longer than you prefer.
One time I was in charge of a VBS classroom. Taking down all the decorations and the married man who was my partner told me I was tempting him too much and he needed me to leave the room. I left REAL quick!
I’m just a girl, standing in front of evangelicalism, asking it to protect women from abuse without resorting to purity culture rules that make it impossible for us to have careers.

Do people good. Serve with gladness & humility.
