We must ensure that all existing human rights are fully applied online as well as offline, human rights law in its entirety is applicable to digital activities, and every digital activity must be assessed on the basis of existing law.

@theCAIDP Very good point: need to invest in AI literacy do that people understand the potential uses of AI, but also its limitations and risks. Some may say this is obvious, but it needs to happen (and so far I don’t see much happening on this side)

Merve Hickock (@theCAIDP) sees positive potential in the use of AI to improve our lives, but there are also risks. Need to align the development of AI and human rights protection to ensure we use its positive transformative power, especially for democracy.
