@Kazoochka@abiratoEFC@Feargal_Sharkey@Mammysin there’s a St Barry of Cloone parish, Co Leitrim and “Termonbarry” (sanctuary of St Barry) on the Shannon and Kilbarry the site of his monastery
@carrigman it was odd- great cast but … meh and that explosion scene at end was ludicrous. i enjoyed one irish bishop classmate relating how he watched it in Cinema with another Bishop and observing cinema goers puzzled by the use of the word “Simony”- he reckoned only they two knew !
@HelenORahilly i got a cat flap - which was good and bad.. the bad part being that she brought live play things in and sometimes forgot to kill them… very entertaining at 2am
@RevDBH i had the privilege of meeting him with about 30 seminarians (mostly non austrians) at Clonmacnois.. My german is limited but he was very clear that the light that went out from ireland to a darkened europe needed to be rekindled. i found him a very kind, good man.
A total of 21 men are set to begin studying for the priesthood, the highest number to come forward for the role in over a decade
