Proudly South African. Objective collaboration for the renewal of South Africa. ‘YEW’ refers to Pres Yew of Singapore and the Yew tree as a symbol of revival.
@elonmusk It is a key factor that most tend to ignore when addressing poverty. If the poor keeps on multiplying at increased rates by definition poverty will escalate accordingly and no amount of employment equity / job creation initiatives will be able to counter that in the long run
@BafanaSurprise Please try to do an honest comparison and not a bias political manouvre. Johannesburg rates are about 0.95% of property value and Cape Town is 0.72% which equates to +/- R950 pm on property of R1.5m for Jhb and R895
pm for Johannesburg. @Our_DA@MYANC@Action4SA
@HermanMashaba Your once sober reasoning collapsed into complete and utter crap and misleading political hypocrisy / to buy votes from the illiterate and uninformed. To argue the wall wish to promote unequal development is not promoting a good perception of your intellect. @Action4SA@Our_DA
@geordinhl While the main content of the response is sober and accepted - it is a dissapointing shock to see that even you - from whom we least expected it - fell to the level of so many others - and start insulting one who differs from you. Unfortunately you ruined our respect for you
@MbalulaFikile Indeed an example to be proud of. It could really get us on track if only we were able to properly implement it in it’s true spirit without manipulating it to the advantage of some. @MYANC@Our_DA@FreedomCharter4@elonmusk
@SABCNews 3) High poverty levels exist in SA and we must note Blacks represent 82% of the Middle class and 58% of the rich - yet they still benefit from BEE instead of the poor. We need Radical Economic Transformation to benefit the poor - not the rich elite. @Our_DA@MYANC@elonmusk
@SABCNews 2) The privileged population of South Africa is a) 40-50% Blacks b) 30-40% White c) 10–15% Asian and 8–12% Coloured. The privileged black population however still benefit from BEE and high jack benefits intended for the poor. It must be stopped. #BEE#Poverty@MYANC@Our_DA
@SABCNews@MYANC@Our_DA@Action4SA The privileged black population grew from 4% to +/- 25–35% ie +/-15m; - 3x times the white population. These privileged cannot continued access to BEE privileges that high jack benefits from the truly needy.. They should equally be required to share their wealth. #poverty#BEE
@SABCNews Correct! - but remember those privileged are no longer only whites. We must empower the poor - black or white. The privileged black that already benefitted from BEE can’t continue to still benefit - instead of the truly needy. #reconciliation#BEE@MYANC@Our_DA@Action4SA
@RediTlhabi Debatable - but there might be a glimmer of hope it’s a genuine proposal and attempt to reach out to understand the other side. If so- well done. If one look at the appointment of the National Dialogue Steering Com it is however clear there is no real desire for Reconciliation
@GaytonMcK@MYANC@Our_DA Whatever building blocks are agreed upon for a Hierarchy of Reconciliation - note, one cannot contravene a lower foundational level value later on to enable another higher level value /principle. That would break the foundation of the structure #reconciliationday@MYANC@Our_DA
@GaytonMcK We must create a hierarchy of key
values for Reconciliation that all agree too. Pres. Ramaphosa regards Restitution and Equality as the foundational building blocks? Will it work - or is Non-racialism and non-discrimination the key principles? @MYANC@Our_DA#Reconciliationday
@GaytonMcK@MYANC@Our_DA The ANC Freedom Charter is a valuable basis for an agreement on a Hierarchy of values for Reconciliation - but its debate whether the ANC and Government actually still adhere to those fundamental principles?
