@ChookSinge Considering that this seed came off a paddock sown thin with good seed at 25kg undersown with pasture & only 65kg Urea, It’ll be interested to see how easily I can blow this to birdseed when I push it to compete #justaddwater
Gly resistant ryegrass showed up in this paddock so changed plan from Oats to Barley so I can sell all off the farm at harvest so no resistant survivors will get trail feed to sheep, graded then sown high screening-low T/W Neo at 65kg/ha, probably should have halved that rate
@agronomybrady@lawbal44@mvagriculture@PhenologyisFun I didn’t start illabo till 29/30 March but have odd plants rising up, I thought it was a late March till 5th May window when it first came out & I’ve sowed it all times except very early, once as my only wheat v & it was only last yr where it came unstuck with a June germination
@InterGrain1 How early can you go with Goldie, there’s plenty of ‘Dual Purpose Oats’ that were planted this year in the same area that are fully out in head that people got away with last yr but clearly has no winter vernalisation requirement
Sowing 2026 done, last paddock was Koala Oats into an old Lucerne/clover pasture that I’ve just taken lambing ewes out off, was quite tight even with the moisture on top, will be either harvested or cut for hay with paddock going into crop rotation
@DJagrofarmer@lawbal44 Our first rain from harvest was 23rd Feb, I’ve just put sheep on this Volunteer Neo that was undersown with Lucerne & clover last year, had no stock after harvest as I didn’t want it to powder up & wanted to see if there was enough pasture, it’s great feed now
@DJagrofarmer@lawbal44 Some people seem to have forget or didn’t know that you need a winter wheat/barley with a vernalisation period if you want to sow early, if it’s just a spring cereal it’s going to be a real challenge to get those paddocks to harvest
@MalJMckay134377 Keogh augers same except the bit the bearing bolts to loops all the way over the top, I have just ground a few bearings off leaving them bearingless & will deal with them when I don’t have enough still going would be much better off being like old ones with wooden blocks
@MattMcDonald013@FordAustralia We have one of the bi turbo everests off the first boat that’s up to 170k & I’ve got a xl single turbo at 135k, it’s been the silly electric fans that have been our only issue, even the wet belt replacement at 160k was only a bit over $3k & it’s averaged 8.8l/100km over that time
@DavidSandow1@iandicko73 It’s not the Europe song contest it’s the Eurovision tv channel competition & SBS have been a paid subscription of them since the 70’s
Where are people getting oil change/service stickers for tractors etc, I used to have a roll but ran out, I asked at super cheap but it wasn’t a thing they stocked?
@HoolyMcg@tofar1 The last ones I got points direst to hard face them with the tungsten chip splattered into the weld, was $2.5 an inch & an arrow on tip with 3 inch long runs made them last 3 times as long
