Surely when we have a record setting storm & phone networks are down, the networks should be in a position to open up for customers of other networks?
Safety of those elderly or isolated people across the county should be priority!

In the Irish asylum/immigration issue. If someone gets all the way to Ireland, first rule has got to be ‘no free stuff’. If you or your family didn’t pay in, you can’t expect to show up in Ireland and start to collect. Should there be a way to give an immediate ability to work if you aren’t immediately deported (and there needs to be a lot more of that)? Yes. But nothing ‘free’. We have to stop sending money into the exploitation racket. As for anyone that came in from the UK and is claiming any sort of welfare, they should be immediately deported back to the UK, no ifs ands or buts. We have to stop being morons.

Dublin Airport yesterday morning ...9.30am. There were approx. 150-200 men being loaded into 4 private coaches.

I was sent this by a person in Waterford who witnessed it and took the pictures, all of them came from the airport terminals and left on McEntee buses

If you're planning to vote for Fine Gael in this election just remember that when the now Taoiseach Simon Harris was Minister for health in 2019 made the decision to take away the measly training allowance of €31.80 from people with learning disabilities in 2019.

It was never reinstated.

I'll say that again. Simon Harris took away a tiny training bonus of 31.80 from kids with intellectual disabilities.

In at least the West of Ireland we’re one or two generations away from the rain coming through that thatch and scraws. It was barely housing at all. Now we have spongers and their traffickers showing up demanding and getting free housing, and free money, handouts dole, people who never worked or paid in a penny in contributions in their lives. When we emigrated abroad we never sought or got a handout or a free house. We got Cricklewood and Yonkers and a thousand others places where you had to work your arse off the get a start. The handouts have to stop. Come here to work, fine, work, get going. Nothing for free, nothing.
