Hi! I’m Lizzie, a kawaii gamer & content creator known by the community as @lizgainsexp 🎮💗
Two months ago I got diagnosed w/ Stage 4 colon cancer. I decided to make this acct to document my cancer journey, share my experiences & thoughts, & show how I stay cozy at chemo 🥰✌🏽
We’re switching to a new antibody therapy, and I’ll be getting a platelet booster weekly so we can raise my dose of Irinotecan to 50% (I’m sensitive to this chemo so we were only doing 30%). Hopefully we can pull this tug of war w/ cancer in my direction 🙏🏽👊🏽
During my time at the center, the only real side effect I feel is sleepiness once my premeds kick in. I bring my comfy blanket and slippers, my Switch and my Steam Deck, my Kindle and a puzzle book. I enjoy getting caught up with my nurse friends. I be stayin cozy at chemo ✌🏽🥰
Now I’m at the infusion center for chemo sesh # 19. It’s been almost a year since I was diagnosed with colon cancer 🙀 I’m blessed that my sessions still aren’t too bad, I don’t really mind going. It’s just become part of normal life for me.
I’ve been bad at updating here! Here’s me at my 15th chemo sesh on Sept 12. My hair is growing back! 😍
I also had another colonoscopy on Sept 5. It showed no new polyps and they didn’t see any cancerous masses in my colon!!! One down! 🥳🎉
12th chemo sesh yesterday! My hair is growing back already and I can’t wait for it to get longer 🥰 I wore cooling socks and gloves to help prevent my neuropathy from getting worse 🙌🏽
I can’t believe 6 months have passed since I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Time really flies! So much has happened since then, even just in this month.
I have a CT scan in half an hour. Please send thoughts/prayers! 🙏🏽 Thank you lovelies 🥰 xoxo
My dreams are to buy a house, travel and explore more places, and create more memories with my new husband and our kids! I’m thankful for all this extra time I’ve been given 🥺🙏🏽

Got my CT scan results back. After 5 months of chemo, and 9 chemo sessions so far, the masses have continued to shrink!!! We are so grateful 🥹Thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers! 💗🫶🏽
I’ve been having that pre-med for many sessions so it’s weird it affected me strangely now. Hopefully it was just a one-time thing 🙏🏽 If it happens again, they’ll prob just have me skip it or take a different anti-nausea. Better that I’m allergic to a pre med than a chemo med tho
Yesterday was my 9th chemo sesh. I think I had an allergic reaction to one of the anti-nausea pre-meds 🥲 I felt really off and my throat/chest felt like it was filling with ice. The nurses gave me Benadryl to combat it and I ended up sleeping the rest of the session lol
I didn’t know we were ALL being told this by our nutritionists.
From now on, I’m going to work at eating much healthier. Today’s breakfast was turmeric scrambled eggs and an anticancer rainbow smoothie!
When my nutritionist came to see me during my first chemo session, she said to eat whatever I wanted, as the most important thing was to eat enough calories and not lose weight. I listened. Well I started reading two anti-cancer cookbooks and they both say that it’s bad advice!
I’m hoping I can skip chemo next week. It’s been over a week since my last chemo sesh but I still don’t completely feel back to my normal self yet. Esp the tingling in my hands/feet 😕
