MEMPHIS BBQ!
When you open the dictionary to seek a true definition of Memphis BBQ, the picture of Cozy Corner BBQ should appear! Before flying to Memphis, I had two places that I definitely wanted to visit to ear and never made it to them. I asked three locals, who didn’t know each other and when I asked where I could find THE BEST BBQ ribs, without hesitation, all three said, “COZY CORNER BBQ!” The staff was beyond friendly, they helped walk me through the menu when ordering and out came the fall off the bone ribs with the smoked chicken wings. It was so good that I made it a point to leave Laurel, MS the next day extra early to get a second dose of it before flying back to Charleston, SC. The owner, Bobby Bradley, Jr. was kind enough to take me back to show me the smokers. I wanted to visit “the pits” where old-school family owned barbecue was made since 1977. Bobby mentioned to me that he’s a big fan of Rodney Scott. I told him to let me know when he visits Charleston, because I want to give him a tour of our city and treat him for lunch at Rodney Scott’s BBQ. Thank you for your hospitality, the food was outstanding and you can tell they put the love into what they are doing. Seriously, from the staff member who took my order, to the person who loudly calls your name when your order is ready, to the person who cleaned the tables, God bless you because they really couldn’t have been kinder.

Later, I brought it with me on a business trip to Memphis. I went to all of the places Lolis recommended. Most memorable was @cozycornerbbq, where I met Ray Robinson and his lovely wife. I had to explain that I wasn't actually friends with Lolis, but they treated as though I was.
“I thank God I got drafted to Charlotte.”

Michael Jordan when asked if he still loves the game:
“Love it like you wouldn’t believe. I wish I could take a magic pill, put on shorts and go out and play the game of basketball, today…it’s what I live for, I miss it.”
