@bulariat This is disheartening take by a Christian based news group. Your take is biased towards assuming bigotry by TPUSA when all I’ve experienced and seen from TPUSA is open communication. This Lariat take is for oppression towards a group whose view that is open for discussion.
@LayneTPittman The scheduling of games on Peacock also negatively impacts fans who have to buy another streaming app to watch the games. Missed Drew’s win 500.
How about this pack some seats. Occupy seats with locals. Sell tix to Waco families. Drive their attention to come by engaging schools. Get their band/twirlers/choral to do a halftime show. @BaylorAthletics@geauxgreen@T_REX1991@SarahRogersBU
I trust Scott Drew in the long run, I think this is a lot of understanding how well he jelled with many of the assistants that have now gone on to other positions at other colleges. We can blame NIL, but I think a continuity of his assistants would help solidify the program as well.
For anybody who doesnt want to attend @BUFootball games anymore, please send me your tickets so I can bless some locals with a chance to watch a college fball game.
Cant control things on the field or in the back office but can help bring some joy to others & make new BU fans
I’ve been a fan for 40+ years of Baylor. Loved them through all of it. Like to occasionally put my $.02 in to the arena, but I try to be there as much as I can. We drive over an hour to the games and when we can’t, I make sure I pass my tickets to T-Rex or to somebody I know who would like to go to the game so that my seats are always filled. T-Rex only puts into words how many of us feel, but show me somebody who has been a vocal proponent as much as he has over the last 15+ years. I say it often, I wish we had 100 more of him with the passion he has for Baylor sports overall.
The TV Networks (specifically Fox and ABC) are refusing to run this ad for @SavingCollSprts today during the games.
No good reason given as to why - just ignoring us or telling us to contact their attorneys. The General Council for one major network told me it was a “business decision”. This was AFTER we’d sent them a large wire to pay for the ads!
Why would the networks want to silence a legitimate debate around an issue that affects hundreds of thousands of kids and is existentially threatening to women’s sports and Olympic sports? What is the “business reason” that overrides the benefit and enjoyment that college sports provide to tens of millions of Americans?
What are they hiding??
If there was ever a question that money, control, and greed are being prioritized over student athletes, fans, and communities…Here you go!!
We all knew that the current situation in college sports seemed very slimy and was driven by people who couldn’t care less about the common good…. But we had no idea how bad it truly is!!
It’s become obvious…We have to drain the swamp that College Sports have become!!
This fight isn’t about me, and it certainly isn’t about TV ads - it’s much bigger. It’s about doing what is right and necessary to save a great American institution. I promise that I won’t stop fighting until we are successful in solving this problem, and I know I can count on many of you to join me!
When Erika Kirk spoke the words on the man who killed her husband: “That man… that young man… I forgive him.” That moment deeply affected me. I have struggled for over 60 years to forgive the man who killed my Dad. I will say those words now as I type: “ I forgive the man who killed my father.”
Peace be with you all.
