As we conclude the first-ever Virtual Townhall on #DrugFreePimpriChinchwad, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every citizen, institution and organisation that joined us today as well as all of you on X [Twitter] who participated in the Q&A session.

Over 45,000 citizens participated from across the city through 819 groups connected on Google Meet Enterprise+. Also, our live Q&A session on X recorded more than 31,500 views. These numbers are more than statistics, they reflect a city that is ready to come together to build a safer, healthier and Drug-Free Pimpri Chinchwad.

No specific area as such that we can flag for the same…However, our experience in the last 5 years indicates that use of narcotics such as Ganja, Opium, Charas and Poppy straw is seen mostly in and around low-income settlements spread across the city, while the use of synthetic drugs like MD, Brown Sugar, LSD, Cocaine are more prevalent in the higher income pockets of the city.

Also, in terms of types of drugs..Ganja is the most common with total seizures accounting for more than 80%...
