Cam got a hit and trotted down to 1st, smiling and giggling. I asked why the giggling she replied "Cause I'm having FUN!!!" She loved the game and competitive games were especially her favorite. One wonders about this "lost" season and what it would have brought.

Today's featured Lady Gopher is senior Cam Cornell. Cam's catching and batting has won us several games in the last 3 years. I could post her stats, home runs, doubles, a couple of grand slams, and just some good clutch hitting... (Part one)

But, this quiet young lady is just that, a quiet player whom we had to edge on to raise her voice on the field. I have lots of memories of coaching first base, but, one that stands out was a couple years ago in a close second round sectional game against Frontier. (Part 2)

Todays (and tomorrows) featured Lady Gopher is senior Mikayla Hufford. Let's see, where to begin. For all 4 of her HS years she was first to conditioning, first to practices, and first to games. After spending 2 years in JV she made it to Varsity last year. (Part 1....)

(Part 2) Looking forward to this season for playing time and her outstanding leadership as a Captain. She "leads by example" and quietly gives advice and, I noticed, is a go to person for guidance on the team. Managing a restaurant should not be a problem for this young lady.

Today's Lady Gopher is Junior Heaven Watt. Playing JV SS and 2nd base last season, we brought Heaven up to Varsity to be a pinch runner(She's fast!)! Heaven shined in this job, and is proud to be a Utility Player (can play anywhere the coach needs her). A team player for sure!

Today's Lady Gopher is Junior Hannah Wilson. Hannah plays shortstop and pitches. Last season she found herself as a relief pitcher and shined in the first round of sectional against Tri-County for the win. Aggressive base running & dugout cheerleader! A great asset to the team!

Today's featured Lady Gopher is Junior Hadley Wilson. Hadley plays 3rd and catches. Last season she played with a broken big toe! She is probably the most aggressive 3rd baseman we have seen in some time. She is also very aggressive hitting and base running. A great team player!

Today's featured Lady Gopher is Junior Rylee Ward. Rylee was working on playing first base this year and was working towards a starting role on the team. Looking forward to next season for this talented softball player.
