This is a story as old as time. Everyone believes their insurance company will “do the right thing” but their main goal for every single claim is to pay out the absolute minimum or deny it altogether. The only chance you have is to hire a public adjuster or attorney (public adjuster is way cheaper and gives you same outcome.) If you have never heard of a public adjuster, it’s by design. Insurance companies don’t want you to know they exist! Do your research, ask ChatGPT, Claude whichever one you prefer, they will all tell you the same thing. It sounds like your claim can definitely be reopened.
@skylarromines Great post! My husband, a PA for 21 years, has seen insurance companies cheat fire victims for years. It’s criminal. Adjusters are crucial for claim management and negotiation. They takeover and do everything to maximize the payout.
@austinrealtor Worst advice I have read. Public adjusters are experts in managing claims and protecting the interests of their clients. Ins will never pay what you are entitled under your policy without representation. A reputable PA doesn’t charge a “chunk”, their fees are capped by the state
@dieworkwear My husband is a public adjuster and fire claims are his specialty. You don’t need an attorney. Hire a public adjuster and they will prepare your claim and negotiate with the insurance company on your behalf. Public adjusters charge a fraction of what attorneys charge.
@seanpatward I don’t get it. You hire an accountant for your taxes, an attorney for legal issues, why wouldn’t you hire a public adjuster to manage your claim? They deal with the insurance company and maximize the amount your insurance company pays out. Every investor needs one on their team.
