⭐ We are very excited to share that, last Thursday, Southern Voice proudly launched Global South Perspectives – our brand new flagship publication, which has been in the works since 2023.
This collection of articles spotlights urgent global challenges through the lens of the Global South, creating a platform for the South to speak for itself. The virtual launch event marked more than a publication release; it opened the floor to a vital conversation about the role of Global South think tanks in a world of shifting power and dwindling international assistance. As global systems evolve and pressure mounts on development pathways, GSP offers a timely response rooted in evidence, experience, and collective vision.
In a dynamic 75-minute event, we explored actionable insights on the climate crisis, rising debt, and governance gaps, gathered from some of the South’s most engaged researchers. We thank everyone who joined and was part of this inaugural moment, as we elevate Southern voices and advance cooperation across regions to shape a fairer, more responsive global governance system.
You can now access the full GSP publication and dive into insights that could reshape global conversations. It includes 8 articles from 16 researchers from 9 member institutions, with materials offering a collective, timely response to the shifting development landscape. Read now!

The development narrative has long been written without us. It’s time that changed. ✍️
In a world shaped by overlapping crises, those who experience them most directly must also help define the solutions. Global South Perspectives (GSP) is a response to this gap.
Our new initiative brings together researchers from across the Global South to offer bold, practical insights and solutions on our pressing global challenges. In our virtual launch event, we’ll unpack key themes from this inaugural edition – from reimagining multilateral governance to managing debt crises and advancing climate resilience.
Even more importantly, we will ask: what does it mean to center Southern leadership in a time of shrinking aid and rising uncertainty? How can cooperation across the Global South drive a new era of policy and practice?
Join us to mark this important milestone and to help us amplify Southern voices.

1️⃣ Invest in community health workers
2️⃣ Promote meaningful and sustained community leadership
3️⃣Integrate mental health care in crisis response
4️⃣ Establish coordination mechanisms

#IamAPHRC’s @Liz_Kimani spoke at the first-ever Climate and Health Conference #CHAC2024, calling for deeper engagement with communities, especially children and youth, on the connections between climate change, food systems, and nutrition. She highlighted how raising awareness can shift mindsets, inspiring young people to choose nature-based foods over processed options. These choices boost personal health and pave the way for a more sustainable future.

The aim of this training is to better help the participants to manage their cooperative society in order to get funds (interest free loans) from able bodies for their Agro-pastoral activities.
As part of the intervention activities, CPED in collaboration with @SPARC_Ideas has commenced the training of Community Project Implementation Committee (CPIC) members from different pilot communities.
