@StevenZap@DrBradJohnson Your point is moot. If teachers wanted to counsel, they’d become a counsellor. Don’t give teachers more full time jobs. Let them do the one they have.
@518EatShit@saskfarmer306 Well he failed there then too as Cockrill blundered his way through the education portfolio and wracked up 2 conflict in interest cases for himself while telling Sk parents that their children don’t deserve anything but bottom of the barrel budgeting per student.
@Amylynnett@STFPresident@karen_e_jackson@SaskTeachersFed As a teacher, if the government wants me to work this summer, they will have to pay me. Considering my summers are currently unpaid, I’m happy to give it a go and watch all of the uninformed (like yourself) cry and complain about how much that decision is going to cost you.
@SaskPirate2024@jeremycockrill@SaskTeachersFed Considering the teachers have been working the entire time aside from a max 5 days of legally supported strike, your comment shows your level of ignorance. But ok
“They are more bureaucratic or political wings for the government rather than they are actually helping us advocate for public education,” Jaleta said of the SSBA.

ICYMI: Last week, teachers voted overwhelmingly against the final offer put forward by government. It's time to see real commitment to address class size and complexity.

@andrea99960851 @CJMENews Ridiculous for insisting they put something in the contract to ensure there are reasonable class sizes with supports like EAs, Counsellors, Pats, SLPs, and Behaviour intervention specialists available in schools? Yeah, that sure does sound like crazy talk.
Our members have spoken. It's time for @jeremycockrill and @SaskSchoolBoard to finally take this process and these issues seriously, and work with teachers in good faith to address the crisis occurring in Saskatchewan public schools.

The fact is there is NO CHANCE SK teachers accept this deal. NS teachers getting this deal really shows what SK teachers will continue to be fighting for. Supports for kids and a professional wage that will bring SK’s finest youth into the profession. https://t.co/IYANKJtGSg
Anybody else super frustrated by the lead story this morning on CTV that notes that school divisions releasing their new budgets say they DON’T have enough money to address class size and complexity?
WHY did they sign the MFA?
This is exactly why teachers struck this year!
The contract offer to teachers falls short of putting supports back into our classrooms. There is nothing holding government accountable for their commitment to our kids.
For this reason, I’m voting No.

After 3 empowering days at the annual meeting of council teachers made some clear points:
1) We are the STF and fully support our President Samantha Becotte
2)The “final offer” Package needs to be a hard NO!!
School divisions are now starting to sound the alarm.
At best, the recent “increases will be status quo. Worse, it will be cuts.
The government is intentionally obfuscating the numbers. They are much worse than they seem.

@brentm25@AOgieglo Where do you teach, @brentm25 ? You are misinformed and your SSL is doing a poor job ensuring you understand what is happening. Have you signed up for the STF evening meeting?
