Today we honoured OPP Sergeant Brandon Malcolm along with Policing and community partners. It was a privilege to be able to help a support the funeral. We continue to keep his family, friends, and colleagues close in our hearts.

Did you know January is Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month? Occupational cancer is the leading cause of line-of-duty deaths in the fire service. From 2020 to 2024, occupational cancers accounted for 307 of the 330 line-of-duty deaths (93%) among Canadian IAFF members.

Pictured is Dave Mitchell, a former Volunteer Firefighter, standing with Gene and Chris on either side. Over 10 years ago, Dave suffered a cardiac arrest but was successfully resuscitated. On Saturday, he was awarded his 10-year life pin after receiving a Heart Transplant!

We’d like to take a moment to thank everybody for helping us make this year’s toy drive such a great success! Today we dropped all the donated toys off to benefit The Salvation Army and The Giving Tree! Thank you for your support!
