This NY I used a black, but transparent-in-near-IR paint, a flashlight in which I replaced the LED with a 850 nm one (old TV remotes use ones), and the fact that human eyes don't see 850 nm light (almost) while phone cameras do. The clue says: "invisible light and the robot eye."
Packaged a birthday present for my daughter, she figured how to open it, but barely. Otherwise i'm stuck: can't force myself to work on anything interesting at all.
For this New Year i locked the present for my kids with a solid metal ring instead of a lock. With a clue on how to open it visible only under UV light. This worked quite well.
@PnishdMythMason The thesis itself is not about T., but there are images of some materials on his writing system: drafts of Bogoraz-Tan's translations table (pp. 348-359) and a couple of pages of Tenevil's handwriting and drawings (pp. 360-364). BT's drafts have more characters than he published.
@PnishdMythMason Cool, got it. I'll let you know once I have something sharable. Hopefully, I'll finish something this year. Meanwhile, you may find this PhD thesis helpful (if you haven't seen it): https://t.co/twx8glXuiM . Specifically pp. 348-364 may be interesting for you.
@PnishdMythMason I'm currently working with a lot of materials on Tenevil's writing system, but didn't publish anything yet, if you have specific questions, I can try and answer them.
For quite some time I thought of marrying my metapost code with InDesign. Now that I may soon need a lot of pictures of knots, made a quick-and-dirty ID script to quickly turn curves into nice shaded knots.
Due to a bunch of technical issues, mostly migrated Byrne's book to LuaLaTeX from ConTeXt. https://t.co/RpKnHQZTpy
ConTeXt is fantastic, but, unfortunately, supporting both versions is a tad too cumbersome for me at the moment.
GitHub suddenly wrote me that I can now have this "sponsor" button-thing https://t.co/xg86OG0LJz . One time I got a couple of beers worth of money from a kind person on https://t.co/f3KjhyFiwV, and, probably, bought a couple of beers.
@andrey_sitnik 34,6% — это очень много. Если бы у меня попросили, по тому, что я вижу в интернете, не глядя в этот опрос, назвать какое-то число, то я бы назвал 20% максимум.
@gro_tsen I wrote a script for Adobe InDesign some years ago to get colors from absorption spectra of pigments: https://t.co/xECmbPvwMT Now I updated it to work with emission spectra as well and my results for the "infinite temperature" are the same as yours (down to rounding, I guess).
