Arguably one of the best 11 any team has ever put for the World Cup. Now we just have to wait and see if they play the way we all expect them to do.
Amazing team , now questions .
@Lakers@nbc@peacock Lakers need to win at least one of the first two games to make this a series and allow some time for Luka to recover.
Winning today would be incredible!
@PlayoffDude That’d be amazing news… LA needs to win one of the first two games at OKC… if they do that this is a series if they don’t , then LA will get swept…
@aati598@espn Agree… LA can’t compete against OKCs style of play… the need to play a slow & physical game. Thats the only way… LA has played very good defense lately… they’ll need that for sure.
I feel the US government's position is that, in the worst-case scenario, they lose some House seats in November and Democrats gain control of the House. For Iran, they seem to believe the government is literally collapsing, and the longer this drags on, the more likely it is to happen.
I question the timeline even if I agree with the US government's position. I don’t think this level of pressure will make Iran’s government agree to US demands before the end of the year.
Dictatorships tend to resist much longer than typical democracies would before crumbling…Protests there are met with killings of civilians… a messed-up situation but one that buys the Iranian government time to fight longer than most countries would.
Just look at Russia, which withstood incredible financial, economic, and political pressure for years due to its control over every aspect of Russian life. It’s terrible, but the US government needs to accurately account for this in their strategy. Otherwise, it is just hopeful thinking, even if the strategy makes sense.
@goalsside So true… the final will be interesting particularly if ATM defeats Arsenal…
Defense vs offense … one game … 90 mins… it will be great to see ATM vs PSG or ATM vs Bayern in the final…
Two completely different styles of football…
@CFCVortex Yamal is world class… but today I would take any of the other three before I pick him… they’re more “complete” players…. Talent alone is not enough…
I agree. Mbappé was treated as a superstar before he had deserved that status. Even the president of France called him at one point to persuade him to stay at PSG.
Mbappé is an incredible player but he can never be above a club… no player should, no matter how good he is. PSG thought he was their ticket to prosperity and did everything to make him happy, and that failed spectacularly.
He’s at RM now, and the only way to start fixing the team’s structural problems would be to get rid of him or Vini at some point.
RM signed him because they had wanted to for years. They ignored the fact that it would create a structural mess and simply hoped his talent would mask the inefficiencies. Sadly for RM that didn’t happen …
Mbappe to RM was not a good idea. To make it worse he plays the same position as Vini Jr son there’s a structural problem with the team… one of those two need to go… once one of those two is gone you will need to hire a real striker … that should help a lot… there’re other problems but fixing that would go along way…
Lol yes, it just goes to show how great a player LeBron is. If LeBron had been injured instead of Luka, I don’t think the Lakers would be 3-0.
Luka is a great player, but he doesn’t make other players shine the same way LeBron does.
The team is more cohesive, aligned, structured, and better defensively thanks to LeBron’s leadership.
The team will of course be better once Luka is back, but it is great to see LeBron leading this team when they needed it the most.
@SportsCenter The rockets have a lot of talent but they need more experience and a good point guard to set the tempo. They’ll learn from this and come back next yr as a better team.
@BFW I think this is the first season where people are really beginning to appreciate LeBron’s greatness… it’s always been taken for granted and now people are beginning to really sit and watch how amazing it is to see him play at this level at such an age.
