@HRMFireNews thanks for the update on this!
Is it normal to send so many units? Not sure if I understand the Halifax Fire codes like you do but it seemed they sent the entire cavalry for this. Glad they did and glad they were returned!
@HRMFireNews We paid for a local alert app with emergency capabilities.
We received a garbage alert app (already have hfx recycles) and parking ban alert app (already widely available).
I want to know, did we get our proposed return on investment?
@MikeSavageHFX@Tim_Bousquet@WayeMason
@WayeMason@HRMFireNews Makes perfect sense. Thank you. Following up to that, when the original budget was pitched to councillors, was the emergency alert part of it a major contributor to making the decision to a lot so much budget? Difficult to answer I will admit…
@WayeMason@HRMFireNews - What does that mean for all the budget spent on the hfxalert system. Will the return on investment be there if it’s not used for emergencies?
@HRMFireNews I hope that you’ve taken care of your mental health after going through the past difficult event. Clearly you, are a strong minded person, and talking to someone about your mental health from past trauma will keep you ready for the next event your needed. ❤️
@HRMFireNews According to HRM councillor it is provincial incident command that co trip the decision to change evacuation areas.
At this point they should really be considering St George and Voyageur way for evaluation to return.
@MikeSavageHFX@SeanFraserMP@BillBlair@hfxgov I wish our province had the same type of cooperative nature as our mayor @MikeSavageHFX.
Decisions are tuff to make, Good job by the Mayor and his office doing the best they can. Yes we may not like all the decisions but we appreciate the dedication to our well being. ❤️
@Tim_Bousquet Wondering what are the bullet point reasons for your concerns around a fire in Kingswood. I am assuming there are several ‘obvious’ reasons but I’d like to know. I feel you are very right about this. Voyageur lakes, any thoughts there?
