Just wanted to give a shoutout to @ConnerPohl. Been working with him for the last 4 years and couldn’t be more grateful for the countless hours he’s poured into me. I wouldn’t be even close to where I’m at now without him.
Best there is around!!
@cpohlinstruct
@AndersonLMiller Hard to emulate someone else with knowing NOTHING about their ENTIRE process and cues that goes into an everyday process. Be your own hitter.
The first and only thing parents should do before they take their kids for training lessons should be to look up the trainers history of playing.
It’s astonishing to me how many parents just assume that because travel ball organizations have the space to train and it looks cool, that it’s the best place to train. People are being robbed for just reps. It’s gross.

What does finding “peace in the process” mean?
Succeeding at a high level in any sport is hard enough as it is. I think what needs to be understood is this:
You’re always chasing your future self.
Odds are, you’re never going to be as good as you know you can be or, can/will eventually be.
Your presence in the present is required.
Your thoughts, feels and emotions change day to day. Just like your cage sessions or throwing sessions aren’t the same, day to day. You’re going to suck one day and can be great the next. Future outcomes are not controllable.
Finding peace in the process to me is this:
If your preparation, mindset, routines, and work ethic were true to your values within the game, then you’re already “winning” before the first pitch is thrown.
Be great!
Just heard a pretty cool line by one of the all time great philanthropists, Jameis Winston.
“Pressure is for the unprepared”
All jokes aside, I found this so insightful relative to baseball. When I think of pressure I immediately relate other words (Nervous and Expectation).
Pressure, Nervous, Expectations are destroyers of confidence. And being in a state of flow within the game. When I think back to playing days, the confidence came from being prepared, working my tail off and trusting my process.
For me, the pressure of expectations for myself relied on outcomes for myself.
It took my mindset from a pitch to pitch mindset to expecting an outcome before the at bat had started.
You’ll never know what the outcome will be. But one thing you do know is that you did everything you could to be in the best position possible to succeed.
Find peace in the process.
@ZerkleSports@shegone03 Capabilities vs REPEAT-abilities.
There’s a fine line between what you’re capable of and what’s sustainable enough to play in game. Hitting the ball a certain MPH doesn’t guarantee anything. Consistency in barrel turn and body positions play. Hitting for MPH… not so much.

@Starting9_37_
This may ruffle some feathers but it’s 100% true…
You don’t swing down OR up.
It’s both.
You don’t go forward OR stay back.
It’s both. You stay back as you go forward.
Have a good day. 😀
OH HS coaches, have you checked your varsity gamer ball prices yet? If you need a break on NFHS approved balls for your JV/Frosh teams, I’ve got the answer. Been saving some schools about $20 a dozen for a high quality to save budget for their varsity gamers. 🧵1 of 2
