@LinusEkenstam At least they're copying themselves
and not stealing content from another profile without giving credit and just putting their face on it and calling it a "reaction," right?
@sherlock_hodles To be fair: who you gonna remember more? The guy in black suit or the unique one?
(And probably the one in black suit is 90% to be a scammer lol)
one thing that nobody is talking about regarding the ZEC exploit: we got owned by an AI-slop
not mythos, but a public model
an AI slop owned a full team of engineers
vibecoded will become more reliable than a pure human code
it’s over
AI narrative will just become stronger
but in a short time the “LLM fever” will die
never go all-in in horizontal companies. their shares will go to zero at some stage.
When people understand that LLM in a nutshell is a "machine learning with more steps" and yet has brought incredible tech advancements and competition to the market, then they will understand why AI in its “true form” is extremely bullish
@waleswoosh The proof that ZEC is a memecoin (social traction rather than usage) is that, apparently, in all the years with the exploit open, nobody even bothered to try to hack it
@Williamnads “(…) in that end (…)”
I mean when related to incentive hard the dev community with hackthlons and dev support in the mainnet. They started this recently- and extremely well executed btw
Why dapps are leaving the MegaETHeco?
Are they (SIC) mercenaries?
As a builder perspective:
> any team is chain maxxi;
> business is business. and to run a startup on web3 it’s much more expensive than run it on web2;
> small to mid dapps will run to angels and distribution. Mid to high to grant and VC. VC is the biggest boss… teams will always look for the places that are offering three factors: (1) distribution, (2) grant/hackthalon/buildathlon and (3) connection with VC/angels;
> Hackthlons are not just to give money for fun to MVPs. But to build the developers eco. Having small devs in the eco attracts the biggest devs, and consequently the VC and angels. Monad, Base, Arbitrum and Solana has been playing this long game for a while because they understand that;
> So a team can change the chain just because grant? Yes. Because run a project isn’t cheap at all mainly on web3. But also how the eco is being building.
It’s much more “being mercenary”.
It’s about where and who is building a full ecosystem. Where the angels and VC will look at. Where the team will get distribution support and etc…
MegaETH still a new ecosystem when compared to Monad, Arbitrum, Solana and Base in that end; so I still believe they can do something about it.
But I hope they come down from their pedestal calling dapps mercenaries and fix the execution problem in the core before it's too late.
