@MikeMitchNH Only Republicans want to win now? How do you explain the excuses Dem leaders make for Platner? There isn’t a more blatant “win now” move than embracing Platner.
@GregRajan What is everyone’s obsession with Dubon? His OPS this year is 700. Him being off this roster is totally irrelevant to the place the Astros find themselves.
@DOBrienATL He’s had a good 2 months for him with a 736 OPS. His OPS+ is 109, which is the first time he’s ever been above average.
The problem wasn’t trading Dubon. It was not spending the money they saved to improve the roster.
Bret Shewmake’s OPS is 1.000 since being acquired.
@BradeauxNBA Has to be Hakeem. He’s a top 10-20 player of all time at worst. Altuve has been great, especially in the playoffs, but he’s not close to Hakeem in terms of overall legacy.
@Alicia_Smith19 Most overrated show in the history of television, even though I liked it and watched all of it. Very lazy dialogue way too often. When in doubt, throw in a F-bomb laced tirade.
@SeanTPendergast Total trash. Kobe at 3 is a joke. Curry at 4 ahead of Magic and Kareem. Iverson at 13.
Ask David Robinson if he was better than Olajuwon. He’ll tell the truth.
@Oswald65819686@AstrosOptimism2 I meant that his offense has been average every year except 2025. The WAR has more to do with defense and the fact that most SS are bad hitters.
@AidanResnick@SleeperAstros We just ignoring his 519 OPS, his poor framing, and the really bad early game challenges he’s initiated?
Just because he deserved to play ahead of Maldy in 2023 doesn’t mean he’s actually a good player in 2026.
@SeanTPendergast Every Japanese player talks about the difficult transition to MLB. Even Yamamoto struggled his first month with the Dodgers.
I don’t know if he’s hurt or not, but “dead arm” is a thing. Wheeler had it last year and Scherzer had it in 2024. Some guy for the Giants has it now.
