It wasn't "if."
It wasn't "maybe."

It was, "when they let us."

Looking at this image, it's impossible not to imagine what could have been.

Ben Affleck already proved he had the presence, the physique, and the intensity to bring Frank Miller's aging Batman to life. A Dark Knight shaped by years of war, hardened by loss, and willing to do whatever it takes to protect Gotham.

With Zack Snyder behind the camera and Frank Miller involved, we could finally see one of the greatest Batman stories ever told brought to the big screen.

It hasn't happened yet. But Zack's answer makes one thing clear: the desire is there.

Now, it all depends on the people who can say "yes."
