@PleasantKenobi Plus, at least around me in the UK, maternity wards have adjustable lighting and are designed to be as comfortable as possible.
Home birthing is generally almost as safe for "straightforward" pregnancies, but if the maternity ward is nice, why take the risk?

I've been thinking a lot about Solarpunk and the interplay of ecologism and socialism required to make a Solarpunk city function. I can't quite get it to sit right in my head, but I do like the aesthetic.
