Something I only noticed this morning. God restored Job only AFTER he had prayed and sacrificed for his friends- who earlier gave him bad counsel (Job42.10).
Our sufferings can be the path to redemption and restoration when we leverage them for the sake of others.
The Biblical portion of our conference begins with a talk by Prof Gary Anderson (Notre Dame), ‘Does Redemption from Sin Require Making Satisfaction: the Case of King David’.
Another very full conference session!

I’m so tired of the silly political analyses of the papal candidates: “where does he stand on immigration? On climate change? On the poor?” Look, there are indeed moral implications of the Gospel, but the Gospel itself is what truly matters. And the Good News is that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and hence the rightful Lord. What I’m looking for in a Pope is a man who firmly believes this and knows how to make it compelling to people today.
Exciting evangelism initiatives taking place in the UK especially regarding the prospects of ecumenical relationships!
“Communion is intrinsic to mission”
I ask you to be vigilant against the temptation to cultivate a warlike spirit. Be vigilant lest you be poisoned by propaganda that instils hatred, divides the world into friends to be defended and foes to be fought.
Amazing trip on ecclesiology and ecumenicism between the Anglican Communion and the R.C. Church- with The Living Church, Nashota House, and the Anglican Communion Office.
A lot more to follow this week.
Write up to follow in a few weeks (hopefully).
