Encryption is on by default and will be automatically enabled over time for new and existing RCS conversations.
Those who work in the #privacy space would never recommend using SMS however sometimes other people do and you may have no choice, so it is a small win.
Messagner Encryption Roundabout.
The recent announcement that Session the encrypted messenger app could close in July unless it raises $1m was followed by Meta's announcement that they are removing encryption from Instagram messages.
We have some better news that RCS is implementing encryption between the Apple & Google ecosystems. It is in beta, users will know that a conversation is end-to-end encrypted when they see a new lock icon in their RCS chats.
You have to look at privacy holistically, privacy is not just about not sharing information or data. It is also about protecting yourself from a cyber security perspective, this means paradoxically giving up some privacy to be more secure.

In my new blog I explore the emotive issues relating to privacy and how sometimes we miss the importance of security as a rational requirement in these online digital times. #privacy#OSINT#OPSEC
There are different tracker codes for different things. They're also good for #OSINT as they potentially allow you to track back to who did an original post that has been shared, because sometimes the account details are in the tracking code.
If you sign for services or newsletters, when the email drops to say there is a new one you click the link, right. However those links contain trackers. In the screenshot below you can delete everything after the ? mark to delete the tracker code. UTM is a marketing tracker .

Snooping around on NextDNS. They have introduced a beta feature called "Bypass Age Verification" that allows users to circumvent age checks on websites requiring government-issued ID or other personal documents.
This feature operates at the DNS level using geographic spoofing: when a user attempts to access a site with age verification, NextDNS intercepts the DNS request and routes it through proxy servers located in countries without mandatory ID-based age checks.
