@Hoppeism "Erm, actually, that just means you suck at the game."
"Precisely. In a centrally planned economy there is nothing to stop incompetent bureaucrats from causing mass suffering by tinkering with market forces they have no incentive to understand. Excellent point soyjak."
@wackiestcamper i don't want half my income to be given to the state in order for them to waste it all on welfare for druggies/lazy people and then make the European bank print more money
European politicians are worse than trump because they pretend this isn't a thing
The contradiction is that they reject the labels while embracing the principles.
"No kings" but they support politicians exercising powers kings could only dream of.
"No oligarchs" but they support bureaucracies and party elites controlling entire industries.
"No Nazis" but they often defend censorship, collective guilt, and punishment based on group identity.
They oppose the names associated with power and domination while advocating many of the mechanisms that create them.
The problem isn't kings, oligarchs, or dictators as labels. The problem is concentrated power. And concentrated power doesn't become freedom just because it's exercised by people you agree with.
