Today I discovered this Midjourney style reference, and I absolutely love its personality:

It blends whimsical 3D character design with a handcrafted, stop-motion feel: exaggerated proportions, wonderfully awkward expressions, knitted and felt-like textures, and a beautifully restrained retro color palette.

There’s something about the tactile imperfections that makes these characters feel almost like real handmade puppets rather than CGI.

Definitely a style I want to experiment with in animation.
