Can someone at @Venmo please explain why 2 profiles with the EXACT same username and profile photo are allowed to be created? For an app that has our bank account information this seems wrong

If there’s any advice I can give you this holiday season, it’s to immediately remove your bank account from @Venmo , delete your account, delete the app, and never look back. They are absolute scam artists.

The customer service at @Venmo is completely whack. People have been creating profiles posing as me and my friends all day (using our exact usernames) and they’re doing absolutely nothing. That’s if you can even get anyone to answer you.

The form to report suspicious activity requires a website URL (which is not something the venmo app even offers) and the email of the user you’re reporting. So if you report your friends actual real profile, it will suspend them and the fake profile will be fine
