Apparently, the mayor of Taber and their city council approved this billboard.
I will be buying my corn from British Columbia’s venders this summer instead.

One of Smith’s most BRAZEN conflicts of interest
The Ockeys’ private school foundation already got ~$2M from taxpayers this year
Now they’re lobbying her directly for millions MORE for a new school and rec centre.
This isn’t just “great convo”
It’s a MAJOR conflict 😳
It is so bleakly NHL that the only two teams to sign players from the Hockey Canada Five wind up in the Stanley Cup Final not even a year removed from their acquittal. This is hockey culture. Sweep it under the rug and trod all over it.
Thank you Steve Dangle for being the only hockey podcast I have listened to this week who has mentioned that Carter Hart should not be playing hockey rather than engaging in the discussion about his goaltending
Looking for a tangible way to fight back against the separatists right now?
Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation has stepped up to be the pointy end of the legal spear, but those battles aren’t free.
You can help them fight back for all of us!

🚨 BREAKING: Albertans are set to take to the streets THIS FRIDAY in what could be the largest organized protest in the province's history.
From every corner of Alberta, people are taking to the streets to protest everything from the cost of living and healthcare cuts to AI data centres and the promotion of separation.
This isn't a protest for one issue. It's everything at once, because it's all connected.
WOW!
Rakhi Pancholi pulled zero punches in her response to Smith’s address last night!
“Cut the bullshit and call an election!”
(That’s a real quote)

A referendum on Canadian unity is divisive enough. Holding a referendum to have another referendum will divide us and will kill our economy. It is now more important than ever that all supporters of #ForeverCanadian sign up at https://t.co/Xq9yBfTCGG so we can stop this insanity.
When did the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms become optional?
How can Danielle Smith still push a referendum question when she has no legal recourse to do that?
How is Doug Ford allowed to delete or hide government communications after court rulings and then weaken Ontario’s Freedom of Information laws?
And why does it feel like elected citizens are above the law?
STATEMENT ON PROVINCIAL ADDRESS
The Premier of Alberta intervened to lower the threshold for getting a separatist question on the ballot. She then intervened to eliminate a review requiring the question be constitutional. She intervenes again tonight after yet another court has told the separatists to slow down and follow the law.
The premier can wrap these actions in the words of democracy, but she is willfully ignoring the will of the vast majority of Albertans who want no part of this separatist conversation.
The simple reality, a reality you would not find in her speech, is this: she has pushed along a question because a group has threatened to bring down her and her party if she does not.
Her internal political problems have become our national crisis.
The Premier asserts her patriotism. I will take her at her word, but I will remind her a patriot puts country ahead of party. A leader steers the agenda, rather than having it blindly dictated to them. An Albertan finds ways to do what’s right, not justifications for doing what’s wrong.
This baffling, referendum-on-a-referendum question will do nothing to settle anything. It adds another layer of confusion. It will divide. It will distract. It will damage.
I hope her government will consider how to step back from this madness before the damage to our province’s social fabric and economy is too great.

Wrong. I'm one of the 400,000 and I knew exactly what I was signing. I don't want a referendum. I want you and your fellow MLAs making your stance clear in a legislative vote. Don't gaslight Albertans.
If Smith actually pulls the trigger on a separatist referendum on Thursday, she’s a traitor. Pure & simple.
She didn’t campaign on this, to my eyes she is violating her oath by calling the question, & she showing absolute contempt for First Nations.

The UCP just used a 400,000-signature pro-Canada petition to justify calling a separation referendum. The people who signed to STAY are now being told their signatures mandated this process.
When I signed, the question was "Do you agree that Alberta should remain within Canada?" — not "do you want a referendum?"
Horner and Jones resigned rather than be part of it. Smith calls this 'respecting democratic participation.' I call it hijacking one side's democratic participation to deliver the other side's agenda.
This government is not acting in good faith. Full stop.
If a separatist group wants to fight this in court, they can pay for their own appeal. It is not the responsibility of Alberta taxpayers to subsidize a political project the government claims it does not even support.
