Farewell #MarianneFaithfull Her obits were festooned with images from GIRL ON A MOTORCYCLE, the X-rated, kaleidoscopic film she starred with Alain Delon, directed by Jack Cardiff. In my doc on Jack the sequence on that film regrettably was cut but here are a few stills for fans.

Psychedelic Me - having fun with the installations at the ‘Color In Motion’ exhibit at the #AcademyMuseum. To the uninitiated not a bad overview of the various colour systems including Three-Strip Technicolor and features ‘The Red Shoes’. It runs until July 13th 2025.

RIP Alain Delon. A film not really mentioned in his obits was the kaleidoscopic ‘Girl On A Motorcycle’ in which he starred with Marianne Faithfull directed by Jack Cardiff. In my doc on Jack the sequence on GOTM was cut, but here are some production stills for fans. #AlainDelon

30 years ago I came to Warsaw for the first time to film the tour video for the band Marillion. The venue was the extraordinary Soviet era edifice in this picture, locally know as ‘Stalin’s Gift’. I now return to screen my film CAMERAMAN at the inaugural #TimelessFilmFestival

Jack Cardiff fans, ‘The Red Shoes’ is screening in @Picturehouses UK-wide this weekend. This masterpiece starring ballerina Moira Shearer was the 3rd film Jack photographed in stunning three-strip Technicolor for Powell and Pressburger. Go see it on the big screen. Cx @BSCine
