Just sat down at the doctors office and this 75 year old man starting talking to me like I’d known him for years.
He’s been stage 4 for the past 3 years, excited he’s gaining some weight and hoping all his kids and grandkids show up for his birthday July 29th.
When his name got called he got up and said, “Have a great year, I don’t want to say have a good day because that’s too short but make this year great!” The nurse said, “How about have a great decade?” He said, “I don’t have a decade darlin.”
I find people who are struggling the most show us how to appreciate life through their eyes in such a pure way, it brings tears to my eyes.
I hope his kids show up for his birthday.
If they saw the look on his face while he was talking about them and how much that’d mean to him there’s no way they wouldn’t make it work. 🤍

After seeing it a few more times, I gotta say this @BlueMoonBrewCo commercial is absolute brilliance. Whoever pushed this spot through understood the risk versus reward. Top ad agencies should take note. #SuperBowlCommercials#BlueMoon https://t.co/cikDEcGXQ5
With all the Splash Mountain and “Song of the South” discussion, it’s important to note that actor James Baskett, who received an honorary #Oscar in 1948 for his role as Uncle Remus; wasn’t allowed to attend the 1946 premiere, as Atlanta was still racially segregated by law…
