Egyptian Commentator: Israel Behind Our Loss at FIFA
by Hugh Fitzgerald
One more claim by an unhinged Egyptian antisemite: we already know that the Jews, that is Israel, control all the banks and all the media. But now we discover, thanks to an Egyptian commentator who has looked into it, that Israel also controls the outcome of FIFA games. It was not that the Argentines played better, or that Lionel Messi, the best player in the history of soccer, scored spectacular goals that explain Egypt’s loss to Argentina. No, it was Israel that must be blamed.
Does that FIFA ban on Israeli teams hosting games at home sound as if the organization is controlled by Israel? And what about the fact that FIFA fined the Israel Football Association $190,700 over supposedly “racist” behavior by fans of the club Beitar Jerusalem, and ordered it to display “No to Discrimination” banners? Was Israel controlling FIFA then? And though Israeli sporting circles protested when Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan celebrated a victory while holding a Palestinian flag, FIFA did nothing. Again, another sign that Israel does not now, and never has, controlled FIFA.

Brian Lilley "I know that Liberals say they want to wait Trump out."
"... The Democrats are becoming increasingly anti trade AOC Kamala Harris."
"They oppose CUSMA, the Democratic Socialists of America, the part of the Democrat Party where all the excitement and action is. They're opposed to what they call neoliberal trade deals, meaning free trade."
"And Mark Carney, remember, he's the one that said he knows Trump and he knows how to negotiate between failing at CUSMA, failing to get the tariffs lifted, and now this Gordie Howe bridge deal really proves the point that Mark Carney doesn't know how to negotiate" @brianlilley (full video link in reply)
Do you hear anyone else speaking this manner? Buddhists? Jains? Seventh-Day Adventists? Protestants? Catholics? Jews? Hindus? No. There is only one religion that openly speaks in this supremacist manner and yet we tolerate it under the guise of "freedom of religion." Are we truly willing to commit Civilizational Seppuku via Suicidal Empathy?
The scenes from London, Brussels, and Amsterdam are a warning: a society cannot endure if it asks people to share territory but never a common identity.

After losing to England, the Norwegian fans didn’t riot in Oslo.
Despite it being 1:30 am, they drove down to the city center of Oslo to ”Ro” together a a final time.

I am watching the Argentina vs. Switzerland match, and an idea just occurred to me that perfectly illustrates how ridiculous the communist utopia is.
There are only 70,000 seats in the stadium. Some seats are better than others.
Someone will sit on the fifty-yard line, someone else behind a concrete pillar. Someone will be close enough to hear the players talk, while another person will watch through binoculars.
How do you decide who gets what?
In a market economy, the people who value those seats the most pay for them. It may not produce equal outcomes, but it provides a clear and voluntary mechanism for allocating scarcity.
An egalitarian system has a much harder problem.
If everyone is equal, why should one person sit in the front row while another sits in the upper deck?
Should everyone enter a lottery? If so, should the winner be allowed to win again?
Should families be treated differently from individuals? Should people who contribute more to society receive priority?
If they do, equality has already disappeared. If they don’t, incentives begin to disappear.
Scarcity creates hierarchy.
The same problem appears everywhere.
There are only so many beachfront homes. Only so many tables by the window in a restaurant. Only so many appointments with the best surgeon. Only so many parking spaces close to the entrance. Only so many tickets to a sold-out concert. Only so many places at the country’s best universities.
Every society must answer the same question: who gets the scarce resource?
Markets answer through voluntary exchange. Bureaucracies answer through rules. Political systems answer through power. Lotteries answer through chance.
Egalitarian utopias constantly collide with reality.
Human beings differ in talent, effort, preferences, luck, ambition, and the value they place on particular goods.
Scarcity ensures that not everyone can have everything they want.
The irony is that societies built in the name of equality rarely eliminate hierarchy. They merely change who sits in the front row. Instead of customers choosing with their own money, officials choose through political influence, connections, or administrative power. The privileged class does not disappear; it simply changes its name.
The front row always exists. The only question is who decides who gets to sit there.
Prof. @jonhaidt noticed something weird in 2014.
Students were scared of everything, even words.
College staff ENCOURAGED it.
Kids even demanded "safe spaces."
Not good, says Haidt. To thrive, "we need to face fear & overcome it.”

Liberals Elites want to decide if you and your family get to be successful in Canada.
They use words like "equity" and "diversity" to sound noble. But, really, they just want to control the distribution of opportunity.

"Those Brits are a strange old race. They show affection by abusing each other, will think nothing of casually stopping in the middle of a firefight for a 'brewup' and eat food that I wouldn't give to a dying dog. But fuck me, I would rather have one British squaddie on side than an entire battalion of Spetznaz! Why? Because the British are the only people in this world who when the chips are down and it seems like there is no hope left, instead of getting sentimental or hysterical, will strap on their pack, charge their rifle, light up a smoke, and calmly and wryly grin, 'Well, are we going then you wanker?" 🏴 🇬🇧
Can't believe I'm about to defend Carney, but it has to be said. Blaming him for this past year of weak-to-zero growth is dumb.
The past 10 years of Canada's GDP growth have been 'fake'. It was due to immigration, which accounted for 75% of the growth in headline real GDP.
Carney has ended the open-borders experiment, which is a good thing, and I applaud him.
But that means that growth will be tied to productivity growth, which is in the toilet. Canada's productivity growth is in the toilet, in part because of many of the policies Carney championed, namely, the destruction of the global fossil fuel industry. If you are going to slag him off, I implore you to be more precise.

Hany Ramzy was the last Christian player on Egypt’s national soccer team.
After he was seen making the sign of the cross following a goal for Egypt, an unofficial decision was made to exclude Christian players from the national team.
Although Christians make up an estimated 10–15% of Egypt’s population, they are banned from senior government positions and many other areas of public life.
Germany: Muslim bus driver stops to pray, non-Muslim passengers just have to wait
The principle is always and everywhere the same: in Muslim countries, non-Muslims are expected to conform their behavior to Islamic sensibilities. And in non-Muslim countries, non-Muslims are expected to conform their behavior to Islamic sensibilities. The lesson is being taught that Islam always comes first, and everything else has to wait. The infidels in Germany will get used to it. They have to.
Welt, July 8, 2026: "A bus driver from Stadtwerke Landshut took a break on his route to pray in the direction of Mecca. This delayed the onward journey by several minutes. The municipal utilities explained that the right to religious freedom applies, but that driving operations should not be interrupted."
