Benching the captain for an inexperienced CB who was to blame for 2 goals in the previous game wouldn’t have helped his cause. He performed miracles over the years especially in the loan market, having to replace our best players every season Colclough, Conn-Clarke, both Newbys, Linney and more always had him on the back foot. Needed to settle on a regular 11 but made too many changes, benching our best players. Elliot Ross was a big loss but the current keeper was doing very well IMO and it’s not like Ross had left the building, so not having that. Good luck with the replacement.
