@BrightonHoveCC 2. The worst of the noise sounds like a wood chipper. Is it not possible to pile up removed wood and do the chipping at a more reasonable time - during the day?

2am on night 3 of @BrightonHoveCC clearing trees on the A293 Hangleton Link Road. Video is the noise from by the junior school - sound up. We can't take 7 more nights of no sleep. What sort of council inflicts this on its own residents? @bhcitynews @BBCSouthNews

@BrightonHoveCC Thanks for responding. Can I please ask:
1. Why the noise occurs between 11pm and 4am instead of something like 7pm and midnight, which would allow most people a few hours of unbroken sleep?

@BrightonHoveCC this noise has been constant from about 10.30pm to past 3am for the last 3 nights. Why can't it run e.g from 7pm to midnight, which would be less disruptive for people trying to sleep nearby?

Close the road at the weekends and do it during the day. We'll all drive round. We just want our sleep back.
