We are situated in an idyllic, rural location near the centre of Cranborne Chase in Dorset and offer a fabulous environment for children aged between 9 & 13 yrs
7RKB have worked super hard today understanding the technique of mirroring. We looked at how Ami’s life from the book ‘The Island at the End of Everything’ mirrored that of a butterfly life cycle. Good work team! 💪🏼
3 Hot Chocolates ready for our 3 Hot Chocolate Friday winners. Well done to Jack and Charlotte (yr 6) who have patiently waited for theirs, as well as Tabby (yr 8) who is this week's winner. ☕️
Enrichment Day today. Yr 7 Pupils learnt more about the 9 protected characteristics. Looking at what what discrimination can look like, as well as producing a pledge for how they can contribute to our school community, ending with an activity to empathise with those who are blind
Miss Bickel found a caterpillar in her broccoli a few weeks ago. Taking advantage of this, she created an environment for it to thrive & 7 RKB have watched this transform into Pupa (Chrysalis), before hatching into this beautiful butterfly which they released last week.
Last week in Science our year 7's were working with quadrats. This was then followed by flower dissection. We are very lucky to have such an amazing grounds with so much flora and fauna to explore.

Attendance is such an important part of any pupil's opportunity to learn. Therefore we were really proud to get recognition from the FFT for our KS 3 Autumn Term attendance being in the top 25% in England for all secondary schools and those similar to CMS!
Year 7 have been studying Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ this half term. They have written their own modern version of the opening scene of the play and then had some fun acting this out! 👑🗡️🧙
Well done to Dylan in year 7 for being our Hot Chocolate Friday winner this week. Dylan has done some excellent work in French and has been working really hard on his handwriting. Well done Dylan and to everyone else who was nominated. ☕️
It's not all been festive fun though. We have continued to work just as hard in our lessons. Here are some great action shots from one of our trampolining lessons this week.
Jeremiah continues to pop up around and about the school providing lots of fun for the children trying to find him each day. We do need to talk to him about 'Elf and Safety' though, as at times he has put himself into some pretty precarious places.
Wednesday saw us all come together for our Christmas Meal. An amazing job by Miss Carden and Mrs Neame. Enjoyed by all, it was a fantastic meal and well received. It's fair to say that there were some tired children for the last lesson of the day!
What a week it has been! Our amazing children performed brilliantly on Monday to the whole school and also a packed church in the evening for the community. Well done to everyone involved in the Carol Service, including our talented staff choir!
This week I have been sorting out the post box, hiding in trees, following Mr Greedy around school and doing a spot of reading. I even kept a close eye on what all of the children had for their lunches. I wonder what I will do next week?? Jeremiah.
