A Mississippi family had just minutes to escape after floodwaters rapidly filled their home as the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur moved through the state.
The family told CBS News' @JasonAllenLive that they didn't realize their home was flooding until a neighbor called to warn them about their car. Within minutes, water rose from the floor to knee-high, then chest-high, forcing them to climb out through a window with only a few belongings.

Why did it take 5 days for LE to find Elena considering they new exactly where she walked into the forrested area where she was found, less than a mile down?

*Recall LE did not label her missing endangered despite her medical background.

*Elena was found at the bottom of a ravine in a clearing. Not hidden deep in the brush.

*The 1st search lasted only a couple hours and was specifically designated as "not a search and rescue."

*Did LE take her disappearance serious or blow it off based on her history.

*It took 4 days to put together a proper grid search. Why the delay?

It seems proper police procedures weren't observed with a missing endangered in my view.

This caused evidence to be lost due to decay and animal life involvement.

This is likely why the locals gave up their authority and SLED is now the Lead.

Such a tragedy!

Will the ME rule her death an accident or did she take her life? Will the ME find signs of foul play? What will the toxicology report reveal?

I believe the reports that her marriage was on the rocks and that she was afraid of her husband, but there is no video that shows she was followed into the woods bybher husband or LE would not have indicated "no foul play suspected". Her cell wasn't pinging so he could not track her. LE couldn't track her either.

SLED has an active death investigation open, as they should. Nothing is off the table until the ME report is in and toxicology is concluded.
