@WinslowBrady@Creeperjackie@tfridfan@5Solas A 2026 gallup poll found that 33% of americans supported abortion under any circumstances. 54% were pro-choice. That means 46% are against and a a good portion of that 21% probably wouldn't support it if they knew it meant people would use it as birth control.
@WinslowBrady@Creeperjackie@tfridfan@5Solas Most people don't support it though. You do need to justify it in a way that convinces the majority that it's actually a good thing. Most people don't like the idea of killing unborn babies and think child birth is a good thing that helps society.
@WinslowBrady@Creeperjackie@tfridfan@5Solas Why don't you tell me what moral justification there is to make it legal under any circumstance? A solid majority of people clearly don't think it should be. It's clearly not harmless to society and nobody has the right to safe sex anyway imo. You have a right to not have sex.
@WinslowBrady@Creeperjackie@tfridfan@5Solas Like 95% of abortions are for reasons other than rape, incest, or risk of death. It's not even close. No, I don't think abortion should be a form of birth control. Only about 30-40% of pro-abortion supporters belive that (I think I am remembering that statistic correctly).
@WinslowBrady@Creeperjackie@tfridfan@5Solas Most people supported abortion on the idea that it was supposed to be safe, legal, and rare. Used sparingly to save the lives of those who couldn't live without it or in extreme cases, prevent pregnancies created via rape or incest. That isn't what happened.
@WinslowBrady@Creeperjackie@tfridfan@5Solas The primary reason sex exists is for reproduction. The primary reason cars exist are to bring you from point A to point B. Only a hedonist who has sex primarily for pleasure and uses abortion as another form of birth control thinks "safe sex" means no consequences.
@katisnotkatt@Hideo_Fufujima They are usually drawn with adult body proportions. Even when flat chested they are given some shape only a post pubescent body would have. They also are given more childish features to appear more youthful.
@COcahxw@MickInTheRoom@shrugologist@MomsPostingLs It keeps these billionaires you hate so much rich at everyone else's expense. I am saying the trade arrangement creates a lopsided economy that only benefits the wealthy. Sure the money is technically in the US, but because of the way the capital flows it always benefits them.
@COcahxw@MickInTheRoom@shrugologist@MomsPostingLs Ok, well one of the reasons these governments want immigrants is to keep their game of musical chairs going. Basically more labor to buy intp commodities such as real estate, and at the native populations expense. I wouldn't say they are the no.1 problem here, but they don't help
@COcahxw@MickInTheRoom@shrugologist@MomsPostingLs So what do we have? Billionaires who's net worth is tied up in these aforementioned commodities, US labor which is forced to pay for them, and foreign economies that are perpetually stuck with low wages due to manipulated currency.
@COcahxw@MickInTheRoom@shrugologist@MomsPostingLs Basically they are stored in commodities in a sort of weird kind of debt that common labor HAS to pay for and it HAS to be this way because labor is the only thing that creates real value so they have to pay for everything always.
