Before jumping into the water for the crayweed planting activity, the @weareexplorers_ volunteers helped us collect some important data, including establishing whether the crayweed was male or female. You can determine the sex by the patterns on their blades!

Last week we installed mats in Coogee/Lurline in preparation for community planting in partnership with @weareexplorers_ happening next month! Once our transplanted crayweed reproduces and we start seeing 'craybies' we’ll know the restoration is working and will remove all mats.
