Amen. Additionally, in regard to healthcare tasks, this burden needlessly drops on the children/caregiver to schedule appointments, check test results, etc.
I'm going to just vent here.
This is unfair for Senior Citizens.
You can't expect Seniors who are not up to speed with technology nor want to learn it, to be forced to use it.
You can't check in to the doctors office without your cell phone, can't get access to test results without your phone, can't shop at the grocery store for sales or deals without your phone, can't get tickets to events without your phone. Some bills can only be paid online.
It's sickening and unfair and I can only imagine how stressful and isolated our Senior population feels.
Do better, world. It is not about them needing to keep up, but allowing for a gentler and familiar options.
@MsLighthouseCat Social media IMO is so superficial as to be useless for anything but entertainment and sometimes news. Hope you got the help you needed and if all else fails just hug that cute cat!
@steveolivas Don't feed her the modern day version. I don't know what they've done to it, but it now tastes like the destruction of all my childhood hopes and joys.
@steveolivas Apparently they should tag on a head up that you shouldn't pour boiling water on icy windshields. That's the really needed PSA, according to my timeline anyway.
@steveolivas A) When even I go "That's a bit much," then that's a bit much. B) I can't show this to my hubs, who recently went on keto diet bc he is prediabetic and trying to reverse. But he still has a cholesterol problem too, which he tends to ignore in favor of keto.
@steveolivas Have you tried the recipe that used to be on the side where you altered the liquid, used chicken broth, added celery, onions, and then baked it into a facsimile of traditional dressing? The stove top version is awesome, but the baked is pretty good too.
@treydayway It's a gift, or he wants to show it off to you like a child wants to show their friend a new toy. Either way, it means the cat likes you. A really gross way of liking you, but still. Just be glad it's not a dead bunny, which my cat "gifted" my doorstop once, and on Easter.
