@theneedledrop people just forget what these words mean. and you know what they say, forget, then forgive. maybe I forgot what that phrase means too, but who am I to judge
dude shit is just really hard, people just try to edge you out and you die because of it. starts in school, continues in the workplace, perpetuated by the internet. pretty much, if you can go without that, that's stuff I like. shit skee lo said in song in the 90s to cooler beats
I keep in mind people who strike through in music who immediately had a bad time in the public eye, but I also keep in mind people who get redeemed, only to fall back into their familiar vices, and sometimes people who break through in youth and it gives them problems
because I sure get a lot of people telling me critical things about my music, or how it's like prog rock, but I seldom get actual compliments. people give me the fact that I'm underrated as a compliment (plenty times)
I personally don't like being thought of as like, challenging, and my way of combating that is by making melody the main focus. there's like ground rules in music I've heard that involved the duality of sounding good and being original, I have just made pretty music from day 1
I like to think I don't have any amazing genius music things to bring to the table, I just treat using the computer as my virtuosic instrument (people have pointed out how natural it sounds, and how they can't do that without their instrument)
