Tyler Herro “O” 22.5 Points

Herro has played very well since his return and now gets a very favorable matchup in a high stakes game tonight.

So far this season in 5 games he’s averaged 23.8 points per game dropping 20+ points in all 5 games and going over this line in 3/5 games.

In these 5 games he’s also averaged 16.4 FGA per game which is great volume for him. With 15+ FGA he’s over in his last 15/20 games dating back to last season averaging 27.6 points per game.

If you didn’t already know tonight is a NBA cup quarterfinals games meaning the stakes are very high and in these games Herro has performed pretty well.

In his last 6 NBA cup games he’s gone over in 4/6 of them averaging 25.7 points per game and in his one NBA cup game this season vs Milwaukee he dropped 29 points on 15 FGA.

Now he faces off vs the Orlando Magic who are a great matchup for Herro as they don’t play any help defense at all and stick with single coverage even against star players.

In his most recent game vs them which was last season he ended up dropping 30 points on them and took a whopping 28 FGA! I doubt he will take this high volume of shots again tonight but it’s still good to see he’s performed well vs them in the past.

They rank 27th in defensive efficiency vs the Paint area which is where Herro scores 42% of his points from and rank 30th vs isolation which is how he scores 20.5% of his points.

Plus with Franz Wagner being ruled out for tonight I think both their perimeter and interior defense will take a huge hit, which is great for Herro to score from anywhere on the court.
