When I feel hopeless, I focus on what I CAN control; raising children who will use their voices to be part of the solution. Teaching them the value of awareness, compassion, and speaking up when they see something wrong. This is how I choose to do my part. #BLM#WeCanDoBetter
I’m not saying my standards are lower than they were pre-quarantine, I’m just saying my kids are no longer required to wear pants, I justify “The Office” as educational programming, and Mac n cheese and french fries is my current idea of a balanced dinner. #quarantineparenting
I just sent an email to my ‘friend’ with the subject line “yo yo motha fucka.” Except my friend shares the first two letters of her name with my 4th grader’s teacher and guess who is now getting that email from me?! 😐

My kids were fighting today (again) and I heard one of them yell “just shut up! Shut up for the rest of your life.” I just thought, yes, yes great idea, please do that.

I hear my kids screaming at each other (again) downstairs, so I’m closing my bedroom door so that if one of them gets hurt (by the other), I won’t be able to hear it. If I don’t hear it, it isn’t happening.... right?

I don’t know who needs to hear this but, do not tell your husband you have diarrhea while your child is nearby, on Zoom, with 30 other 5th graders. I’m not saying this happened to me, I’m just saying . . . avoid this.
