@S_A_Potamus I think I heard that Slide just switched their app backend from Reddit to Lemmy. That’s pretty cool if you have an Android phone. I tried Lemmy but I mostly just replaced my Reddit usage with RSS feeds like an old person.

@OKdotGLASS Tumblr, bsky and Threads all announced that they may federate. That’ll be cool! Cohost looks like a cool alternative but it doesn’t look like they intend to federate, so if they die it’ll be like shouting into an empty room.
I just really like the idea of decentralization haha

I settled on the fediverse before all the new ones started so I haven’t given them a fair shake yet. I think the best would be ones that federate, so it doesn’t matter which you choose.

Fun fact! @Amazon doesn’t let you exchange unopened boxes of diapers, unlike pretty much every other retailer I’ve worked with.
Hopefully you don’t buy too many diapers and your baby grows out of them before you get to use them!
