@zimwiz I don't know you, your personal situation today, or anything. BUT, if things get heavy, DM me and I can try to tell you what's worked for me, over the years, to get past the shittiest parts (although the goal posts always seem to be moving).
PTSD is a diagnosed medical condition that is the result of barely surviving a situation that could've resulted in your death, or witnessing a death/severe tragedy in a situation that you shared with someone else. It's NOT to be minimized by people upset from reading a F'n tweet!
One collateral benefit of Bidenโs winning the presidency was not reading incessantly about the latest Trump atrocity. Well, thatโs back. And Iโm having PTSD.
@zimwiz I hear you! There are some things that affect us in a way that's indescribable. It's much more than a memory and it becomes a part of our fabric. It's tough (more than anyone knows) and you really can't explain it to someone who doesn't personally relate.
@cooltxchick FAMU owned more property in Tallahassee than FSU did but they've been forced to sell it to FSU, and combine certain curriculum and share buildings with them, just to stay ahead. It's really sad!
@libradunn@MonicaCrowley As a PTSD survivor myself, those who aren't familiar with mental health struggles never seem to grasp the exhausting effort that it takes to just manage any given day. The longer that Mr. Fetterman is receiving positive treatment, the stronger that he is getting. Root for him!
@realTuckFrumper That's the thing about supremacists, they all think that the rules don't apply to them and then they, simultaneously, complain about being held accountable while denying accountability
@jemelehill I change my towel when I ask myself "when was the last time you changed your towel?" or I'm washing like items and need to balance the load...
