in our communities.
Peace is not something we can achieve alone. It takes all of us; listening, engaging, collaborating, and choosing to be ambassadors of peace every day.

We had a meaningful conversation with Ms. Hamisa Zaja, a committee member and Peace Ambassador with the Mombasa County Peace Committee.
Our conversation highlighted the importance of dialogue, collaboration, and collective responsibility in building peace, unity, and harmony
โPeace does not mean an absence of conflicts; differences will always be there. Peace means solving these differences through peaceful means; through dialogue, education, knowledge; and through humane ways.โโโโThe 14th Dalai Lama.

responsible online engagement, and countering harmful narratives, especially as Kenya looks ahead to the 2027 elections.
The key message of the day was:
โInvest in peace, everywhere, everyone, everyday.โ
Peace is everyoneโs responsibility. Letโs invest in it, every day.
Today, our youth from the CRCP team joined the International Day of Peace celebrations organized by the Mombasa District Peace Committee.
The youth shared powerful reflections on peace beyond the offline space, highlighting the importance of digital peacebuilding,
TUM, through its Centre for Religion, Conflict and Peacebuilding (@crcp_tum ), and Garissa University have strengthened their partnership through a two-day engagement focused on peacebuilding, interreligious dialogue and responsible digital engagement...
As we head to the 2027 General Election, our timelines are going to be flooded with political content. Letโs not turn social media into a battlefield. #SlashTheHate@crcp_tum
The session also took an in-depth look at the DARE Crafting: #SlashTheHate social media campaign, including how digital campaigns can challenge harmful narratives, promote dialogue and inspire positive action online.
Because peacebuilding happens offline and online.
As part of the TUMโGarissa University visit, participants had a dedicated session on Digital Peacebuilding in Practice, exploring hate speech, misinformation, disinformation and the misuse of AI in todayโs digital spaces.
